Mr. Shrikant Bidwai, Business manager, Prudentia Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd, Pune, presented Expert Talk on ÔÇ£Career Opportunities in SAP after BEÔÇØ. Before giving insights on SAP, Mr. Shrikant talked about the importance of soft skills for engineering graduates in the industry today. He said ÔÇ£In this Dog Eat Dog World, it is imperative to have a good command over your verbal and behavioural skills.ÔÇØ He added regarding SAP certification courses ÔÇ£What good is training if you canÔÇÖt boast about it on your resumeÔÇØ.

Prudentia, is an Authorised Training Partners for various Technologies and offer Certification Courses for the same. This means that students get a genuine certificate from the Issuing Authority once theyÔÇÖve completed the course and undertaken necessary Testing Modules. They provide soft skills training, various certification courses, and technology courses also they arrange workshops & seminars for students and professionals.

Outcome ÔÇô

It was a very beneficial session for the students because SAP is a vast & trending technology now days. Students are more likely to be influenced towards IT than core mechanical. This session helped students to explore opportunities in IT industry with base knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.

Engineers Day is being celebrated across the country on 15th September, the date of  birth of  Dr. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, popularly known as the Civil Engineer of India, was announced by the Government of India in the year 1868 to celebrate 15th September (year 1860) as Engineer’s Day. On the occasion of Engineer’s Day, the work of professionals engaged in various engineering disciplines of the country and their contribution in nation building is appreciated. Various programs, debates, writing, etc. activities are organized in technical education institutions across the country.

On the occasion of EngineerÔÇÖs Day, Department of Mechanical Engineering has arranged a Technical Quiz Competition for all the students from various departments. Around 130 students were participated in the competition. The first prize won by Mr. Siddharth Shinde, a second year student from Mechanical Engineering Department.

The participation certificates were distributed to all the participants. On this occasion Dr. S. S. Mulik, HOD Mechanical Engineering Department guided all the students and faculties for better innovations in the engineering Field.

Mr. Vinay Kumar had highlighted the careers in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics is exploding, and the industry is fast becoming one of the most popular career tracks. With competitive salaries, a range of specializations, and the opportunities the industry presents to work on cutting-edge projects that we utilize in our daily lives, a career in AI and robotics is worth exploring. AI and robotics are all around us and we depend on the industry for many things we donÔÇÖt even realize.

He was so interactive with students that students requested to extend the lecture to explore the scope and opportunities in upcoming years in Mechanical industry and job oriented skills.

Mr. Aneesh More, Founder of DMOR POLYMERS PVT LTD, Pune delivered Expert Talk on ÔÇ£EntrepreneurshipÔÇØ. Dr. S. S. Mulik felicitated and Mr. A. M. Ekatpure sir introduced our guest to students. Mr. Aneesh talked about the current demand for engineering graduates in the industry today. He said ÔÇ£There’s nothing I believe in more strongly than getting young people interested in science and engineering, for a better tomorrow, for all humankind.ÔÇØ He added ÔÇ£I donÔÇÖt spend my time pontificating about high-concept things; I spend my time solving engineering and manufacturing problemsÔÇØ. The talent and skills should not be restricted only to the domain area knowledge but one should also be a multi-tasker and should be familiar with latest technologies.

DMOR POLYMERS PVT LTD is a start-up in the field of Paint Manufacturing. DMOR Started with water based architectural paints and now has also ventured into solvents based Industrial Coatings and waterproofing & construction chemicals .DMOR has also started export of Architectural coatings to Dubai.

It was a very crucial session for the students because society needs more innovative startups now days. The interaction with the students led to further discussions on the entrepreneurship. It was a beneficial guest lecture for all the final year students for their career.

Details of Event ÔÇô

Farewell function was organized for the BE Mechanical Engineering students at Mehanical Seminar hall, at 10:30 AM on 19th May 2023. The function began with the Sarasvati Poojan, welcome song by Mr. Abhijeet Parale, felicitation of Dean Academics Dr. S. S. Mulik, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Dr. S. C. Kulkarni.

Later department has awarded certificate and Mementos to students those who have placed in different companies. Class toppers are awarded with certificates and finally Best Outgoing student-2023 winner was awarded certificate. After this students shared their views and experience about the department.

Dean Academics Dr. S. S. Mulik wished good luck to the final year students for their future. He also expressed his hope that students will continue holding best positions in upcoming university exams. HOD Dr. S. C. Kulkarni motivated students by sharing his own experience in his life. Further, he also stated that our students are much disciplined, well mannered, punctual and well responsive and industry ready engineers and ready to take challenges.

The program ended with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Shrikant Arage.

Aim ÔÇô To Celebrate Farewell Function.

Objectives ÔÇô

  • To bring Senior Batch Students under one forum for exchange of experience and skills amongst themselves and to disseminate them to the society for betterment of community and country.
  • To introduce the final year students to the Alumni program of the Institute to keep in touch with each other and the technical world and be an asset to their alma mater.
  • To give some useful tips to the students for their future endeavours.
  • To have fun and to say goodbye.
