About Us
The Mechanical Engineering Department of RMD Sinhgad School of Engineering commenced in 2011. The department offers one undergraduate program in B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. The B.E (Mechanical Engineering) program was awarded accreditation by NAAC A+ grade for period of AY 2017-18 upto 2021-2022 and the approval for extension is given upto 30th Oct 2022 by NAAC.
The department has modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories and computational facilities with up-to-date hardware and software resources. The well qualified and experienced faculty of the department imparts knowledge to the students in the fundamental and applied aspects of Mechanical Engineering courses by adopting conventional as well as the latest teaching and assessment tools.

The department curriculum is aligned with Industry 4.0 technologies. The curriculum offers the latest courses in this domain such as Introduction to Fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning. Each of the academic programmes includes frequent industrial visits for our students to expose them to real life engineering scenarios. Students are acquainted with cutting edge technologies through industrial guest lectures, industry sponsored projects and industrial internships.
Students benefit from association with professional organizations such as ISHRAE and SAE. The mechanical engineering department are a dedicated team of qualified and experienced faculties and supporting staff. We have well equipped laboratories and drawing halls for core, interdisciplinary and foundation subjects.
